Eyelash extensions are the application of semi-permanent “lashes” to each individual lash. Lash extensions enhance length and thickness but maintain the feel of your own natural eyelashes.
The initial application typically takes two – two and half hours, depending upon the number of lashes an individual may have. Lori’s lashes last three weeks or up to two months (if you splurge). The natural lash cycle makes it necessary to have your lashes “re-lashed” every two to three weeks if you want to go the distance. A re-lash consists of re-applying the lashes that have been lost and correcting any that may have grown out improperly. Depending on the amount of time a client has waited to get a re-lash, the price and time spent differs from person to person.
Eyelash extensions remain in place for the natural cycle of the eyelash itself. A person’s eyelash typically falls out every sixty to ninety days and is naturally replaced with the growth of a new eyelash. As long as the extensions are cared for and maintained, there should be no damage to your natural eyelashes.
