When Lori Hamlin arrived on the New York City fashion scene over ten years ago, she quickly developed a reputation for flawless makeup application. She is a consummate professional whose attention to detail has enabled her to touch many famous faces while building a clientele of high profile professionals. She has more recently become known for applying Manhattan’s prettiest eyelash extensions.

Her true talent for makeup wasn’t discovered until she began working at a Clinique counter while attending Michigan State University. It was there that she was introduced to New York City and her obsession with the world of fashion and beauty began. A week after graduation she headed to the Big Apple and has never looked back.

Within a year of her arrival, Lori met world renowned makeup artist, Kevin Aucoin, who inspired her to follow her dreams. Soon after, the fashion runway became a reality when Lori was one of the artists booked to assist Francoise NARS’ in the tents of Bryant Park during New York City’s infamous fashion week. She worked with Trish McEvoy and helped to launch Anna Sui’s cosmetic line before going into business for herself.

Tucked away in Soho, Lori’s secret address has established a cult following of celebrity fashionistas in the know. Her cozy lash bar and makeup studio is devoted to custom lash extensions worthy of the red carpet. Between television and photo shoots, Lori offers her services by appointment only to a devoted clientele on both coasts who don’t mind paying top dollar.

Lori’s eyelash extensions were included as gifts in the 58th Annual Emmy Awards and the 63rd and 64th Golden Globe gift bags. Her lashes also made an appearance at the 77th Academy Awards when she lashed Regina King and the Academy Award winning producer of Crash, Dana Maksimovich.

More recently, Lori was chosen to create the makeup look for Kati Stern's Venexiana Fall 2008 collection. Lori and her team will be part of fashion week this September when she collaborates with Kati on her Spring 2009 runway show.
